I was wondering if anyone can help.
I've been using the 18f for some time and several projects if done have been
stretched with the number of I/O lines.I noticed that the 18f6680 in a plcc
package looks ideal for low volumes/hobby use as it allows me to socket it
use pins and not smt.

Are there any known issues with them?

where in the uk can I buy them?. I've tried rs/farnell.


As a general question Where do people buy electronics bits from in the uk?
I tend to get stuck in a rut with rs/farnell, I know I can get parts from
digikey in the uk but delivery can be slow and the delivery costs are
relatively high(#12) esp. if I only want one part from them.

I would also be interested where to buy  ftdi parts from.
