I ran across this while searching for a working 16F88 datasheet:

While it's specifically geared for reducing I/O pin consumpution for the 8 pin
12F629 and 12F675, the tips documented can have equally as effective use in
projects with larger pin count parts.

BTW does anyone have a valid 16F87/16F88 datasheet? Never mind I solved the
problem. While the http site seems to have a damaged copy of document
30487b.pdf with the following characteristics:

MD5SUM
   e4bc2f57498e34a087665030ab857798  /local/tmp/30487b.pdf
Length
   3859276 bytes

The ftp site has a file with some different numbers:

MD5SUM
   8a3db4a634db96fd70b87d27e0fc03af  30487b.pdf
Length
   3859276

Same size but different files. So if you need the datasheet, go to the FTP site.
