What is the correct topic for this discussion? I have adjusted it to [EE] I have never heard of ammonium perchlorate. I have heard of and use ammonium persulfate and sodium persulfate with excellent results. It is very safe. Its fumes are no where near as bad as ferric chloride and the spent solution is almost neutral and it does not stain and corrode everything it comes near and is easy to dispose of. Rick "Gustaf J.
