BTW Best Buy carries Crucial RAM but the price is > outrageous. > > Nick I used to order all my RAM from crucial, no longer. About 2 years ago I ordered 2 DDR 256MB DIMMS at DIFFERENT times of the year. The two DIMMs were different lots with different code dates. Both DIMMs failed after less then a year in operation, spread apart by the amount of time my purchase was spread apart! Both parts failed the exact same way (although they were of completely different date codes). Crucial's RMA process seems nice enough, until you get your replacements and find you have to pay an additional $20US to cover taxes, due to crucial not labeling the parts as warranty returns but instead as new merchandise. Doing that once was bad enough, but when the second DIMM went they DID THE EXACT SAME THING. So in the end those DIMMs cost me twice the advertised price, what a rip-off. I will NEVER do business with them again, and told them so.
