What year? I believe the diagram you linked to is the connector under the hood just above the left shock tower - definitely NOT an OBDII connector. Here's a photo of the actual connector: http://www.miata.net/garage/diag_cu.jpg The following page gives a detailed description of the pinout: http://members.iinet.net.au/%7Eple/ The fourth page of this .pdf shows what they all connect to: http://www.madracki.com/miata/images/wiring/92diag.pdf (BTW, it looks like they have documentation for nearly all years... just change the "92diag.pdf" to "xxdiag.pdf", xx being your year.) While the connector on the page is from an MX-6, not a Miata, it is identical to the Miata's AFAIK, except that the Miata (my Miata, at least) doesn't have pins in all the positions (i.e., some connector holes are empty). In any case, I'm pretty sure the GND, TEN, and IG signals are in the same place. I'm not sure what you want to use the connector for, but here's a good description of how to get diagnostic codes out of it: http://www.miata.net/garage/faultcodes.html Later Miatas (>= 1996) DO have an OBDII connector, but it's located in the cockpit, under the dash on either the right or left side. It should be open, and fairly easy to see. - Robert Silver 1992 Miata :-))) -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
