The user interface IS the project, in the user's world at least. No matter what tricky code you used to do a software 16X16 multiply in 9 machine cycles, the user does not care about it. They care about how the buttons feel, whether it lasts, how easy it is to set. This is the "Art" part of electronics that keeps this business interesting.
