It will also depend on if you want to be able to believe the output level
displayed on the siggen. or the attenuator setting. They are likely only
"calibrated" for a 50 ohm load.

Hi,

I have a quick and hopefully simple question.  I have an oscillator which
specifies a maximum load impedance of 50ohm.  The input impedance to the
device requiring the oscillator is 1500ohm.  Are the two devices
incompatible and if so how should I go about connecting them.  My initial
thoughts were an op-amp buffer with unity gain.  Any suggestions would be
welcome.
