Thank you. Regarding MCLR, is the main purpose of this pin to be used as a reset function? What else is this used for? I wasn't going to use MCLR and was wondering if it is alright to leave it unconnected? In fact, I'm only going to use two pins and I was wondering if it's OK to leave all the unused pins unconnected? Or is there some other standard practice? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "William Bross" To: Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 7:30 AM Subject: Re: [pic]: GP3 on the pic12F629 > MCLR or INPUT only. > > DS41190B-page 23 > > Bill > > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list > [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU] On Behalf Of rad0 > Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 7:50 AM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: [pic]: GP3 on the pic12F629 > > > I've been trying to make the LED blink on GP3. > > The text of the (my) datasheet says it can be made into > a general purpose input.
