Did you grab the datasheet from BG Micro's site? It looks to have a few weird notes on it. In particular, I don't recall pulsing EN for a millisecond in my LCD code. The other things that is interesting is that the last page has 4-bit circled, and the front page seems to emphasize 4 bit too, almost as if an 8 bit interface wasn't real (although the initialization flowsheet shows 8 bit). 72/73 de WB8RCR http://www.qsl.net/wb8rcr didileydadidah QRP-L #1446 Code Warriors #35 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jay Shroff" To: Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2004 6:44 PM Subject: [pic]: BG Micro lcd 1022 Hello everyone, I have a BG Micro 2X20 LCD module 1022 that I just cannot get to work. I have another HD44780 module and If I connect that it works fine. So looks like my driver code is correct. Has anyone tried this LCD module? I recall seeing some messages a while back on needing to adjust the contrast voltage, I tried that (even using a -ve voltage on contrast pin) and I still cannot get it to work.
