Yes, it always generates code for both bits, even when the code is not
needed. Use the macros that Olin developed, which keep track of an assembly
time equ to determine what the current bank is, and only generate code if
needed. See http://www.embedinc.com/pic/ and go to the bottom of the page
where it says software downloads. You can get the documentation in a
convenient PDF file from Jan-Erik's page as noted where it says
"documentation".
