Wendy is also the only person in history to ever receive a standing ovation after a presentation of one of her J. S. Bach Pieces at an (IIRC) Audio Engineering Society meeting. The landmark performance was created using Moog 900 series synthesizer modules that were monophonic and recorded one track at a time. The Model 901 Voltage Controlled Oscillators were only good for an octave at best and needed calibrated for each passage. A very time consuming process! She composed soundtracks for TRON (previously mentioned) and Clockwork Orange (rejected by Stanley Kubrick but later released) that I know of. One of her lesser known works and IMO, the most groundbreaking, was Sonic Seasonings. Four vinyl sides of her impressions of the four seasons. The rainstorm on Summer is the most realistic ever performed electronically. Her work influenced Isao Tomita, Michael Garrison, Patrick Gleason, Devo, Hugo Montenegro, Michael Oldfield, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Larry Fast to name a few. In case it wasn't obvious, I like her work, too. -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU] On Behalf Of D.
