Quit a a while ago we needed a way to send one line or a continous stream of hex when testing communications or protocols. So I wrote a simple script program to shove hex out com1 or com2. The way it works is you write a TXT (ASCII text) file with each hex byte between greater-than and less-than signs like this: <00><52><1F> When you run the program you have two options: 1) Send the next script line with a key press (a line can be one byte) 2) Continously send and the pacing (interval between sending bytes) can be varied I have no idea if it will work under Windows but it's been a good solid tool under DOS 6.22. You're welcome to a copy, just let me know. Win Wiencke -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
