I've downloaded the newest and I I've used the one's that came with Windows (95 - 2K). The problem I see a lot is lock ups. Sometimes it works one moment then I make a change it it's locked up (serial access only). I've gotten in the habit that if I make a change in Hyperterm I save it, exit Hyperterm and restart. Others in my lab have similar experiences. I prefer to use Tera Term (although I can only get serial 1 - 4 which isn't much of a problem). -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@comcast.net http://home.comcast.net/~ncherry/ (Text only) http://linuxha.sourceforge.net/ (SourceForge) http://hcs.sourceforge.net/ (HCS II) -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
