is there three leads or two leads in the connecting cable?  If the connector
(if there is one) has three  terminals then if may be a LM35Z or equivalent. I
am current using this in  a design of my own. I gives a direct readout  of
temp mV.  for example 63.2 is read as 63.2 mV. It takes a ground, power ( 6 0 -
30VDC) and the third lead is the output..There are two versions. one for
Celcius and the other for Faren.

If there are two leads, it could be a thermistor as mentioned before.  It may
also be  nothing more than two leads of BiMetal twisted  together such as
used in commercial probes
