So, if one were to be deleted from the list, how much more weight
than a mere slap on the wrist is that supposed to be?
someone who has been deleted can still read piclist via
the archives, right?  Is there anything that would stop a deleted
member from immediately resubscribing?

I hope recent events don't mean that we can expect an invasion
of trolls.  It can take a while for a list to learn to deal with
trolls.  Some lists (and newsgroups) never recover...
