In the last 6 months or so, the noise (by that I mean
incorrectly tagged posts, and posts by people who have
apparently not read any of the pic list faq or info on
the piclist, or the microchip web site, or even
google!) has become deafening. I, for one have been
grateful to Olin and others for try to keep some order
on the list. Somebody has got to do it. The problem
was that as the noise got louder and louder, so did
Olin IMHO, and that became part of the noise to some.
I know this is not a democracy, but I'd still like to
register my vote.
I have been reticent to post from my real account as
folks just quote the email address out in the open (I
consider that noise as well) but with this new
account, I will try to gently steer folks to the
proper channels of getting the information they need.
