I am on several lists in various fields of interest. None of the lists I stay on will tolerate people typing things "that would get them a punch in the nose if they did it in person." I don't understand why people say things in email with no consideration for who the other person is or what they might bring to the table; things that they would never say in a face-to-face encounter with a total stranger.
