That about the same as what I am doing now.

My configuration is as below.

There will be one host PIC, which is either F252/F452. Then there is a
RS-232 interface to a PC through MAX232. Here is where the PIC will get the
HEX data in Intel format. Then the host will decode the Intel format and put
it to a 24xx512 series eeprom (i2c interface).

I am still working on this and the codes are completed only half way. But I
am having confidence that this one will work.
