> I have tried wine and bochs, but no success. > I've tried this too.... No success here either. Part of my initial problem was getting IE to function so that I could continue the install. Later, I tried CrossoverOffice from Codeweavers. The demo seems really well put together and integrated. Has support for installers, etc. You might try the demo, then try the install again... I'm sure that if enough people start wanting it, MCHP could be convinced to contact the people at Codeweavers to help smooth out any transition issues, or at least make the MPLAB compliant with the emulation layer. If I had this (MPLAB and perhaps AutoCAD on Linux), I'd be able to reformat my only Windows machine and move away from MS forever! ... I'm already using Eagle on Linux, the only reason I keep windows around is for MPLAB. DD -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
