Does anyone have a datasheet for this LCD IC ? I've managed to
score some jumbo displays (32x4 big characters) dirt cheap but
not having much luck with them. Hoped they'd be the same as an
HD44780 but only 64 pins not 80. Tried usual LCD forums, Google
and NEC database. Nada. Display has 4 x D7227G and an 8x2
connector. Perhaps the D7227G is a driver (like an HD44100) and
needs a controller, but then why would it have that 16-way ribbon
cable like a normal LCD ?
