If you're really worried about sleep current, then you shouldn't have a
voltage divider on the battery that is permanently on.  Also, if the PIC is
powered by this same battery, then you need a separate voltage reference to
be able to calculate the battery volage.  Otherwise you are only verifying
the divide ratio of the divider.
