I've been using Mozilla Firebird since it was called Phoenix, and I've had very little trouble with it in all that time. There are a few things here and there that are a bit annoying but overall it's quite good. I'll take it over MSIE any day. > The most important thing in Mozilla (and standalone Thunderbird mail >client) is the efficient bayesian spam tool. Really a must if you do not >have filtering on your email provider, and possibly even then it is good >to have. > > I also use Thunderbird now (have been for about a month) and I like it in almost all respects. My one minor complaint about thunderbnird is that with full headers turned on, there is no ability to scroll so that you can see all of a really big header. As to spam filtering, I haven't tried out the Thunderbird filtering, but I do use POPFile. (popfile.sourceforge.net) It filters everything so well that I haven't bothered with any other filters. With that and privoxy (www.privoxy.org) the majority of web filth never reaches me. --Brendan -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
