I bought a copy of Excel 2000 and downloaded a serial port input program = (CPS) that apparently uses some macros to import the serial data onto a = Excel sheet. Using the Excel Tools menu, a clicked on Macros and found the list of = macros that CPS uses for the serial input. When I clicked on one of the CPS macros, a Microsoft Visual Basic editor = window opens with the contents of the macro. So these macros are in Visual Basic? And I have a VB editor with Excel?=20 Could I tweak these macros with the VB editor, or would I need a = compiler or something else. If I can tweak the macros, would I be able to get the info I need from a = VB book. Maybe a 'VB for Dummies' or something? I just want to be able = to rearrange the way the data is stored in Excel.
