But here it goes. I want to start integrated my development environment. When I started gettng into PICs I knew nothing and purchased a bunch of stuff that does not go together. It all works but it's a hassle switching around from app to app etc. I use the Basic Micro Dev boards a lot and really like them. I have 2 of them with the ISP-Pro programer and a Universal adapter. It seems like the ZIF adapter has been discontinued which is a pain since I wanted one. The bad part about this programmer is there is no command lin interface. So you can't add it to other IDEs. Total Inverstment in that is about 300$ CDN. Then for compilers I have PBC, PBP and PIC-C (PCM "C") Total Inverstment in these is about 650$ CDN. I mostly use MELabs PBP. However you cannot compile from within the Basic Micro IDE. MicroCode Studio which integrates well with PBP cannot program using Basic Micro's stuff. So My options are replacing my programmer and dev boards to something that MicroCode Studio will support. Or changing my MELabs PBP to Basic Micro's MBasic. I was wondering if anyone has had experience using these Basic compilers and which one they preffered and why? I'm just trying to not purchase anything I will not use in the near future! Thanks for any comments. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY! [EE]:,[OT]: ->Other [BUY]:,[AD]: ->Ads .
