What's wrong? GOT IT To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU In-Reply-To: <401BF795.9182021E@3mtmp.com> Precedence: list X-RCPT-TO: Status: U X-UIDL: 371856738 Thanks Josh, and to everyone who has helped me. The K128 is really cute, rugged, and well-designed. Its now working properly. HERE's what I had to do: Uninstall all the drivers on Win2K. Delete the old MICROPRO and everything else associated with the first installation. Using the latest drivers of everything, perform the latest PIC Chip upgrade (K128 has a PIC16F628 to pump up the supply and wiggle the bits). Now plug in the cable and install the new hardware as shown. The Programming Client MICROPRO.EXE and the internal F628 finally match up. And it works fine. The way to have gotten this immediately would be for KitsRUs to have a selection for K128 people who have Win2K, for people who have Win98, to download ALL drivers, including the ones from FTDI, etc in one big ZIP. That way, it would all install properly the first time. If the kit was older, the 628 would just have to be programmed on another programmer. The "matchup" thing bewildered me...
