I've looked at that exchange several times and it looks the same each time so I'll climb into my Nomex suit and say that I can't see how it's not unnecessarily rude. The original request seemed well couched ( to me anyway). He said he had big code and wanted small code. viz =========== > Hello all, been trying to implement a state machine using PICCLITE and am > encountering BIG code. I was wondering if anyone might have some ideas as to > how I could implement a state machine more efficiently. ....... example > Any ideas as to how I might do the same sort of thing without using so much > code? AND > I had a look at the assembly on another section of the state machine where > it's even worse: > Ouch! :) Thanks for any help, TTYL ....... another example =============== Granted, he didn't say WHY he wanted it smaller, but his REQUIREMENT seemed clear enough (to me anyway). Even if he was just wanting it smaller for fun, the requirement was still well stated (unlike that of very many other people who ask questions which very porrly state their requirement).
