I do have some processes running that I can't account for so I may have some spyware or something running, but killing them does no good. What is a good spyware/adware/etcware removal program (preferably free but I'd be willing to pay if it came with an excellent recommendation) to use. Try Spybot for a freeware spyware remover. http://www.safer-networking.org/ I had an XP Professional problem where it would take two or three minutes to open a folder. And, the problem would come and go, drove me nuts. What I finally found was that the problem was network related and that when one of the three machines on my home network was off line the problem would manifest itself.
