John - try Rapid Electronics - They sell them in packs of 100 for 80 pence
(10R 0805 1%)

I'd get some for you but I'm not ordering for a couple of weeks or so.

Telephone for them is 01206 751166 - speak nicely and they may do you a deal
on the postage or even post you out some samples for free (especially if you
offer to open an account with them). You'll find them much cheaper than
Maplins, RS and Farnell for most of the everyday stuff you're after.

The code for a pack of 100 (80 pence) is 72-0507
