Question - does this also relate to NON-Microchip parts? I am planning to use the Maxim 3100 SPI UART and I would like to know if I need be on the lookout for this behavior between the PIC 18F452 and the Max3100? Fromn the discussion it appears this should NOT be an issue, but no harm in asking. (I hope) Roy J.
