What the heck is Microchip doing with the device ID's? I just checked the 18FXX39 ICSP specs. These four chips have device IDs that are identical to 4 of the 18FXX2/18FXX8 chips in the bits that Microchip indicates as identifying the device. Maybe these devices should be identified from their revision numbers only? For instance, I have an 18F252 that reads 0404, and an 18F2539 that reads 0407 (note: the lower 5 bits are the revision).
