You can probaby dig quite a bit of information about talking to nokia
phones from www.gnokii.org . Both from the documentation and from the
source code, as it is 'open source'.

I did some digging around this, and planned doing a design with an 8051
(yes, yes.. I know... Shame on me...), but the commands are not exactly
easy to follow. The phone will not understand a "straight" telephone
number or string, but has to have it in octets.... Do some digging at
the gnokii site, and you will find info on it. Or look at a pege like

About the other questions I don't have a clue. There is a gnokii mailing
list where you could probably get better answers..
