I think the only stuff you will find at this voltage range is lokely to =
be in mask-rom only.
Seiko-Epson and EM Marin (http://www.emmicroelectronic.com/)  are two =
makers that spring to mind.=20

There are several Dc-Dc converter chips which will step a single 1.5V =
cell up to more sensible
voltages - Look at Motorola NCP1400A and similar.=20
