Hi all

I tried to order a new Picstart Plus upgrade for my programmer (UK003010)
from buy.microchip.com but on its own it came to around 43.00 ukp with all
the handling charges - the upgrade was around 17ukp + vat on its own.

After a bit of communication with Microchip they pointed me to a UK
distributor who had stock of them.

I was chatting to the girlie on the end of the phone and lo and behold they
could sell them to me for 0.10ukp more with only a 5ukp delivery charge.

Scarily enough the girl I was speaking to was born in the same town as me,
her mum lives in the same town as me now and her sister lives in a town 5
miles from here. Even more scarily she went to a school 50 miles away with
my brother in law and was good friends with him !!!!

Needless to say I got a slightly better deal on the unit but for those who
want to buy one of these upgrades they have around 200 in stock and have
them available to ship immediately (as opposed to Microchip who have almost
a month wait on the units).
