I don't think assigning a function to 10 pins in a fairly obvious way can be claimed as intellectual property. And it probably would help me sell processor boards if other people make and/or market peripheral boards. And the pin assignment was copied from an existing Atmel board anyway, which was already copied to other AVR-boards. So feel free to do so. The connector is the very common 10-pin shrouded type. > The "C020", that's the flat cable between the CPU board and the > peripheral boards, right ? Correct. Note that I have no objections whatsoever to anyone making his own cables. But some customers insist on buying everything, presumably it gives them a better position towards their boss (and me) if something does not work. > The Wisp628 connector on the DB016/DB008, is that for the usuable > "game port cable" that you can pull from an old sound card ? It is the same type of cable, but what you buy was not salvaged from an old computer. > I'm probably going to order a DB016 (or DB008 if available/orderable) > kit and some other stuff, I'll take that to a private communication... I'll probably hear from you. I quick check of my stock showed one DB001 and three DB008 PCBs. DB008 is usefull only when you have a matching LCD (I seem to recall you have some LCDs :).
