-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 source= http://www.piclist.com/piclist/2004/01/12/013559a.txt? Bob says: Here's what you do: 1. Go to an ATM machine and get out $50. 2. Go to a Pawn shop and ask for an old system running Dos 6.2. 3. Give the dealer $50 (he'll take it). 4. Run the DOS versions of the programmers. I do. - --Bob - ---- Aha. The confusing thing is that the programmer software tells what to do to run under NT/2000/XP, so I thought I could. I re-booted to '98, and it works ok with the '877 and '874 chips, but the '877A still don't work right. In the chaos I managed to set the code protection bits. The '877 has some way to click your heels twice while muttering Arizona and recover use of the part. Has anyone re-programmed a code protected '877A with IC-Prog? - --- Aubrey McIntosh http://www.piclist.com/member/AM-vima-Y84 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use iQA/AwUBQAJYxgKlSw8yssF7EQLUwQCfYhJZXVSv3rNytRC/ZSE+MuIjGMUAoPuK A6s8BtVvBJy9zLgEabO/2J6O =ZhK2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
