For my 2 cents, you are going about this in the right fashion. If you jumped into Olin's method without understanding the assembler/linker madness, then you'll be out on thin ice. When something goes wrong - as it does often enough judging by piclist messages - then you will have an enormous problem trying to guess: my code? Olin's environment? the linker? macros? etc. Learn the basics and then give a go at trying the next level of complexity. Before long *you* will be the expert! By the way, I'm partial to stout.
