Hi. Project you propose needs a huge amount of work, and must be free. Only mad programmers will accept it. I have already developed projects like that (see www.microladder.com) and i can say that is a fascinating project. Now, i am developing a compiler (like picbasic pro) but with online facilities (like basic stamp), you will not need a programmer, for PIC18F (new mlchip familiy). In the project you propose I would change: PIC16F -> PIC18F (or better PIC30F) bytecode -> asm adding signed types. ..
