Thanks, I couldn`t immediately see exactly what I need on their website, but I`ve sent them an email. I`m actually looking for a 2x20 pin socket so soldering it shouldn`t be too difficult. If possible i`d like to find a press-fit one as they are dead easy to use. Cheers, Regards, Andrew --- Johnathan Corgan wrote: Andrew Seddon wrote: >Has anybody ever seen a PC104 style connector on a 1.27mm pitch. I.e a socket strip with long pins on the underside so that you can stack unlimited number of boards together with just one connector on each. There are plently of these connectors around on a 2.0mm pitch because of PC104 but I have been unable to find one on 1.27mm. > > Since Mill-Max carriers the PC104 connectors, I checked their website. They do have connectors with .050" pitch, but it was hard to see if they had the long solder tail option that would allow the stack-up you describe. http://www.mill-max.com Hand-soldering PC104 connectors is difficult as the pins become four deep and there isn't much room with 2mm pitch and the height of the solder tails. I can't imagine 1.27mm would be much fun :-) -Johnathan -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
