Hi, it is not clear what do you mean, as nowadays almost all programmers are serial one including those driven via paralel port. However, if you mean the appropriate port of PC, ie. serial port then I may suggest you the excellent WISP programmer from Wouter van Ooijen, www.voti.nl. Been there, done that, works fine under Linux, too. Another way is PICP if you have a PS+ laying around...
