On the Basic Stamp list they have Jon Williams.....he works for Parallax = and has a column in "Nuts and Volts". He's incredible good at that stamp! Even with his great addition to that group I just had to move away from = those stamps....I'm poor....$50 a project is way to high! And now that = I've tasted the speed of the pic...I'm hooked!!! =20 This group has a nicer atmosphere...more free thinkers here! :) Tim >>> klk@KSU.EDU 01/08/04 01:30PM >>> One would think it would be in Microchip's best interest to at least make = it policy to monitor the traffic/messages on this list. They could at least see the most common issues and different methods of how those issues = present themselves... ie how different people perceive/explain the same issue differently so that similar issues being described differently can be more easily corrected. That was always the bigger issue in tech support for computers, determining based on what the used said what the 'real' issue = was and noticing all the different ways the same issue could be presented. = Your good techs could do this.. The others were stuck just using troubleshooting= matrices to attempt to fix problems when they didn't know what they really were. Keith L. I would love to see Microchip employees on the=20 > PICLIST. There are a few Microchip employees here, but only one of them posts to the list these days. I have no idea whether it's company policy or just remarkable self-restraint that keeps the others quiet. -Andy =3D=3D=3D Andrew Warren -- aiw@cypress.com=20 =3D=3D=3D Principal Design Engineer =3D=3D=3D Cypress Semiconductor Corporation -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics = (like ads or off topics) for you.
