Yes. Buy one of these: http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=P5 6 degree of freedom glove (with finger bend sensors and a few buttons) Measures movement in X, Y, and Z, and roll, pitch and yaw. IR trasnmitting, so it's wireless. Attach it to your head, and hook it up to your computer. Should do exactly what you want. Should also look funny having this tracking glove on top of your head. But it is wireless, so you'd have to position the IR receiver in a good spot, or modify it so it transmits more brightly, etc. Anyway, looks like a plug 'n play application for this part. Can't be beat at just under $60[US]. -Adam Tato wrote: >I'm a big fan of flight similators and I bought na >i-glasses HMD but without a head tracker it's not >as nice. > >The Intertrax 2 head tracker costs $999 and it's to >expensive for me, so I thought, as I'm good with PICs >why not develop one myself, but with piclist help, of course. > >I was thinking about using the Analog Devices accelerometers >ADXL311 and gyroscope ADXRS300. > >Any ideas? > >Octavio Nogueira >Tato Equipamentos Eletrtnicos Ltda >(11) 5506-5335 >====================================================== >nogueira@tato.ind.br ICQ# 19841898 >BASIC Step - O microcontrolador mais facil do mercado >BACOM - O mais poderoso compilador BASIC para ATMEL >http://www.tato.ind.br >ProPic tools - low cost PIC programmer and emulator >http://www.propic2.com >====================================================== > >-- >http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: >[PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
