Olin, olin, olin: You know... if you had handled that a bit differently, you might have had a paying customer... Now, your bitching him out publicly pretty much guaranties that not only will he NEVER buy anything from you, but also will reduce the probability that anyone else on the list will ever attempt to work with you on a paying job. I do agree with Herb. If you must call people "pricks" on the list, then please leave. If you can find a way to say it a little nicer... like "I was going to look into this for you, but since you are demanding that I work for free, and are not willing to take the advice I have offered so far, I will no longer be responding to unpaid questions on this issue." then I hope you can stay. Notice how that example very clearly explains how you feel, is not a personal attack, and leaves the door open for him to PAY you. I'm sending this directly to the public list for the following reasons: A) I'm tired of trying to calm you down privately B) You have objected many times to off list emails, e.g. emails sent directly to you. C) I know this is going to generate a ton of emails from other members asking that I kick you off the list (at the least! ) and I want everybody to see how it is being handled.
