I want to produce a system for=0D monitoring the voltage of my device's batteries which can then be used=0D in charging and discharging.=0D =0D I'm thinking about using the reference of my 5v voltage regulator is=0D the base, and then looking at the battery voltage on top of that. The=0D batteries should never go above 10v so I shouldn't then need to do any=0D sort of dividing and it should be quite accurate.=0D =0D However I'm not sure whether this is a good idea or how to do it? I=0D must connect the 5V line up to one of the pins on the PIC but I'm not=0D totally 100% confident which one, also I need to read in a A2D reading=0D for the current and I think this will be impossible if I'm referencing=0D from 5v as my shunt will need to be referenced from 0v....=0D =0D Any ideas how I go about this?
