There is code in the PICList archive for DataFlash. That said, I found the DataFlash interface to be a PITN. I didn't actually use it, because I'm finding Atmel's serial flash interface easier to cope with. Unfortunately, serial flash isn't available in very high bit densities (yet), nor in 5V models. If you don't need a higher bit density, it may be worth a look.
