true.  It does not incorporate the past 10 years of
'algorithm research'.

I mean--we've come so far in 32-bit math since then.
and *gosh* the primitive way a 4x4 keypad interface
was handled way back in 1994.  :-)

we've got the fancy hardware multiplier in the
18F series now!  and branch-compares!
