Jim,

Pre-dyne does have some standard catalog items.  I buy small quantites of
the D series valves valves and they are in the $40-60 range through a
local distributor.

I forget your original requirements, but you might also check out
www.clippard.com.  The list some 6 vdc (0.67 watt) valves as standard
with other voltages available on request.
