Just a word of warning.
usually the "collet" is no problem.
I had a design where I specd a pad with a hole the same size as the pad so
what I (perhaps stupidly :-)) expected was a bare hole. Guess where the
unexpected short circuit between ground and some other line came from (not
spotted by the design rule check).

The line just "touched" the hole and quite arguably twas bad practice to do
that, but beware anyway. The hole was used for a plastic "pop in" mounting
tower so electrically it didn't affect things.
