I don't have a problem with them chosing to charge $50 extra if you want your mechanical holes not plated on the inside as long as they make that clear, and they do. My beef is that they then don't go ahead and do what they say they're going to do without holding up your job waiting for you to confirm. In other words, when I explicitly check the button that says "No I don't want unplated holes", I am counting on them to do just that without holding up my job to ask if I really meant it. I would have been happy if they had said "If you check this button and you have holes with no copper going to them, we are going to require your confirmation before processing the order.
