A fellow PicLister helped me out....but I appreciate the help! I bought a = CD full of PDF's for HP LaserJet Printers....comes in handy! Steve,=20 Your Spam filter might be a bit to good....it blocked my reply to you. = Thanks for the info!!! Tim >>> johnferrell@EARTHLINK.NET 12/24/03 09:13AM >>> I ordered this CD rom from bd_ski@yahoo.com for about $15. I have not verifed everything is intact, but so far,so good. The following MANUALS are included on the CD: ----------------------------------------------------- tek434 operators with maintenance manual tek453 operators with maintenance manual tek454A operators with maintenance manual tek465 operators with service manual tek465B operators with service manual tek465M operators with service manual tek466/464 with DM44, only the operators manual (78 pages) tek468 operators, service manual vol1, & vol2 tek475A operators with service manual tek475 operators with maintenance manual(milit. My experience with Tek scopes goes back to the mid 60's and I have not seen many that were not better left alone. Few = shops can provide the resources to improve on their calibration. The time base knob indicates the sweep speed per division in normal mode. That speed is altered with the red knob in the center (var) which will put your scope in an uncalibrated mode. The x10 display mode makes one division a full screen. You pick what you want to look at with the position knob. The real usefulness of this scope comes when you get into using the = delayed sweep function. The space between them is one division.....same for voltage. So If I have 1 kHz calibration signal is should be set to .1ms....then the entire screen....left to right would be 1 full ms...right? If it cycles once per Ms it should rise on one half of the screen and go low on the = other half. But this is not the case....I adjusted the signal width both ways at .1ms and it won't fill the screen no matter how much I adjust. I guess a better question would be....what settings to use while calibratin= g and what should it look like when it's correct. I'll have to try looking at the 4 MHZ clock....right now I'm using the internal clock on the 16F628....I just received a 4 MHZ crystal. Thanks again for all the help everyone!!!
