Now that you mention it....those lights you mentioned are on...all three = of them! If they are "on" then the red knob is not actually calibrating? = Oh man...I'm going to go nuts with this thing! >>> A.B.Pearce@RL.AC.UK 12/24/03 08:10AM >>> >So If I have 1 kHz calibration signal is should be set to >.1ms....then the entire screen....left to right would be >1 full ms...right? Correct. The time per division is done as time per major division. >If it cycles once per Ms it should rise on one half >of the screen and go low on the other half. Correct. >But this is not the case....I adjusted the signal width both >ways at .1ms and it won't fill the screen no matter how much >I adjust. There is a variable control on the time base setting, IIRC the knob that = is concentric with the time/div switch. Make sure this is in the calibrated position. If it is not, then the time/div will always be longer. The variable control has a detent on the calibrated end of its travel so that = it will always lock in and not be easily moved off. There may also be an indicator lamp near the time/div calibration to show when the variable = knob is off the calibrated position. With the variable knob locked in the calibrated position you should then = be able to adjust the screwdriver adjustment to calibrate the timebase. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
